　　A children’s play structure is composed of various materials with different textures, such as galvanized steel pipes, floor mats, and plastic components. It can be installed and operated in virtually any setting—whether indoors or outdoors—and is easy to manage and maintain. In many public facilities, where high foot traffic is common, disinfection becomes a key part of daily operations. Below, we’ll introduce these structures categorized by material type:

　　Plastic toys can be soaked in a diluted solution of soapy water, disinfectant laundry detergent, or bleaching powder, then rinsed thoroughly with clean water and dried with a clean cloth or by sun-drying.

　　Fabric toys can be scrubbed with soapy water or exposed to direct sunlight.

　　A wood toy that is moisture- and heat-resistant, does not fade, and can be washed with soapy water and then dried in the sun.

　　Iron toys left in the sun for more than an hour have a disinfecting effect.

　　In addition, the activity room, floors, walls, and other surfaces should be disinfected daily with ultraviolet irradiation; the indoor space must be regularly ventilated, and once a week it should be sprayed with peracetic acid for disinfection. Restrooms and toilets should be periodically sprayed with a 3% solution of Lysol.

　　Large indoor and outdoor play structures should be cleaned by wiping with a cloth dampened with soapy water, disinfectant laundry detergent, or bleaching powder; the agitators should then be dried thoroughly with a clean cloth or by sun-drying.

　　For safety, you can use 84 Disinfectant, but be sure to follow the correct dilution ratio—product formulations vary by manufacturer. We recommend using Blue Moon’s 84 Disinfectant, as it is more professional. Also, carefully check the production date: the free chlorine in 84 Disinfectant readily converts to chlorine gas in the air, losing its effectiveness over time, and the concentration of the active ingredient gradually declines.
